10 Engaging Back to School Ideogram Prompts to Try

I have been playing around in Ideogram creating designs for the school niche. I have a bunch of designs to take a look at – 10 in total – and I’m going to share the prompts that I used.

Back to school usually happens in August or September, which is about 3 to 4 months out. If you’re creating designs for any type of holiday that comes around only once per year, then ideally you do want to think at least three months out.

Back-to-School Ideogram Prompts

All of the prompts for these designs were created with my Ideogram prompt generators.

Before you use these prompts

Do not copy and paste these prompts. Edit and modify them.

  • Change the quote.
  • Change the colors.
  • Change the objects or graphics.
  • Play around with the type of font and typography.
  • Depending on where you get your quote from, always remember to check for trademarks.
  • Design 1: “Middle School level unlocked”

One of the reasons why I’ve been creating school designs is because of back to school. This design says “Middle School level unlocked.”

  • Change the quote by swapping “Middle School level unlocked” for a different phrase.
  • Edit individual words like “Middle” or “School.”
  • Adjust the font and color choices.
  • Design 2: “Goodbye Elementary School, on my way to middle school, but first summer”

I thought this was a really nice design and I really like the colors. You can change this out for any quote that you want as long as it’s in the school niche.

  • Replace the full quote or parts of it so different words get different colors.
  • Update the color assignments that call out white, blue, green, or bright yellow.
  • Swap the pencil graphic for a different object like a ruler.
  • Design 3: “Middle School level complete”

This is a play on words with gaming. You can change this out for a different quote and object, and completely change the design but use this prompt as a base.

  • Replace the quote sections “Middle School” and “level complete.”
  • Change the object to fit your theme.
  • Update the yellow, orange, and green to any colors you want.
  • Design 4: “middle school”

A very basic design, but it looks pretty good.

  • Change the quote.
  • Change the graphics.
  • Change the colors.
  • Design 5: “Middle School Vibes only”

    Another design I really liked.

  • Change the quote to your own phrase.
  • Adjust any colors and any part of the prompt you want to change.
  • Design 6: “Goodbye Elementary School, hello middle school”

Quite a lot of these designs are aimed at newer kids going into middle school. I really liked this design.

  • Change the quote.
  • Swap the pastel hues for different colors.
  • Remove or replace the stars and graduation cap with different objects.
  • Design 7: “Happy 120th day of school”

    This can be completely redesigned.

  • Put your own quote in the main area.
  • Add certain words inside the small block areas where “happy” and “school” sit.
  • Play around with the colors.
  • Design 8: “I’m not yelling, I’m a science teacher, that’s how we talk”

Everything about this prompt is interchangeable.

  • Add your own quote.
  • Change the blue and yellow for different colors.
  • Play with the typography – use playful or bold styles.
  • Swap or add graphics like pencils, apples, and a beaker.
  • Design 9: “first grade teacher”

    A really simplistic design.

  • Create versions for second grade, third grade, fourth grade, and more.
  • Change the colors.
  • Change the block letters in various shades to different letter styles and colors.
  • Design 10: “my first day of school”

    I really liked this one.

  • Use the prompt structure but customize the wording, fonts, and colors to match your style.
  • Final Thoughts

These are 10 back-to-school Ideogram prompts that you can customize in countless ways. Change the quotes, tweak colors and typography, swap graphics, and make each design your own. Think a few months ahead for seasonal trends, and always check trademarks before you publish.
