Are 100+ IDEOGRAM 2A Quote T-Shirts Worth Your Attention?

I’ve just spent the last two days creating over 100 different t-shirt designs using Ideogram. I did this to test out the new version, 2A. 2A is better optimized for graphic design and photography, and it’s their cheapest model. Everything I generated here was created using Turbo, which only uses half a credit per generation.

After creating over 100, I do believe that 2A is definitely much better than the normal version 2 for t-shirt design. Some designs I didn’t quite like, and some I really liked, but the overall quality stood out.

I’m in the process of turning all these into a little freebie. This should be ready over the next couple of days – 100 Ideogram quote graphic t-shirt prompts. Most of the prompts that created all of these are going into it and it’s going to be 100% free as well. Niches include funny and sarcastic, inspiration and motivational, G power, and many more.

Ideogram 2A T-Shirt Design: What Stood Out

Text and layout quality

2A is a million times better at doing text, especially when there’s a lot more going on within a design. The typography and composition hold up really well and look like they were created by a professional designer. Ideally that’s what we’re looking for. We don’t want our designs to look like they were created by AI.

Cartoon and animal strength

Ideogram 2A does a fantastic job at anything related to cartoons, especially cartoon animals. A lot of the animal and pet designs turned out flawless.

Standout examples and favorites

  • Find a trail, lose the stress, explore, exhale, exist – there’s just something about this design that I absolutely love.
  • I speak fluent meow.
  • You had me at worth – I really liked the concept where the paws were the O’s in “worth.”
  • Low resolution high confidence – I really like the pixelated fox with the circle around the outside.
  • My weekend is all booked – this book-themed design turned out really well.
  • I live in a paperback Palace.
  • People exhaust me even in small doses – the fox on this is absolutely amazing.
  • Messy hair, tired eyes, and way too much coffee – the fluffy hair on the little panda is perfect. This would look absolutely amazing on a t-shirt.
  • My happy place – anywhere you’re not.
  • If I’m outside just know it wasn’t my idea – there was a tiny fly artifact on one, but that could easily be edited out in the finished design.
  • Poor choices make the best stories – more of a drinking humor vibe.
  • Mum mode – messy hair, full hands, no sleep.
  • I have a lot of favorites, but one stood out above all the others: My dog thinks I’m cool – that’s all that matters. The husky with the pink glasses, the paw up, the paw down, the paws around it, the stars – absolutely flawless. You’d have no idea this was created with AI.

I can’t wait for version 3, which is hopefully just around the corner.

    Ideogram 2A T-Shirt Design: My Prompt-to-Design Workflow

This is how I created 100+ designs with the help of one of my new GPTs. This one is in my IDE Mastery course and is specifically designed to create quote t-shirt prompts.

    Step 1 – Brainstorm niches

  • All I have to do is say: give me a list of popular t-shirt niches for women, or give me a list of niches.
  • I got lots of different niches to work from.

Step 2 – Generate quotes and puns

  • With my prompt generator, I ask for quotes and puns for any of these niches.
  • I went with Travel and Adventure tees and got lots of different puns and quotes.
  • I wanted more, but make them more unique, and then I got more.

The great thing about this GPT is that we can brainstorm niches, brainstorm puns and quotes, and go back and forth making them more unique. Most of these ended up pretty unique.

    Step 3 – Develop a design concept

  • Once I have my puns or a quote, I ask for a design concept for the exact phrase.
  • Example: I don’t chase people – I chase sunsets.
  • The design concept gives typography, illustration ideas, color schemes, background, and the overall mood and audience.
  • Because this is a GPT, I can go back and forth, ask for different illustration ideas, and change up the color schemes.

Step 4 – Get a fully formatted Ideogram prompt

  • Once I’ve got a design concept I like for the quote and niche, I say: give me a prompt.
  • I get a fully formatted prompt for Ideogram.
  • This prompt is specifically designed to create designs over in Ideogram.

Ideogram 2A T-Shirt Design: Generating in Ideogram

  • Plug the prompt into Ideogram.
  • Make sure magic prompt is on.
  • Use 2A because that’s the recent model.
  • Use Turbo. I only use Turbo because it uses half a credit and it still does an amazing job.
  • Click Generate.

I tested this with the quote I don’t chase people – I chase sunsets. I really like this one. The variations looked pretty good too. Even with 2A everything is improved, but you still sometimes get errors. I think I’d like one of these over the rest, but the set as a whole turned out solid.
