I have this scalable design that says life is better with music. This is scalable because we can switch out music to a completely different niche and have different elements on this retro sunset. I’ve done it with this retro sunset as well because this is quite popular at the minute.

This is a scalable design because all we have to do is change out the elements in the design along with the niche. I’m going to show you how to take the prompts of these designs, edit and modify them to make completely different designs.

Scalable POD Ideogram Prompts: Generating Quote Ideas With ChatGPT

To get different scalable quote ideas, I used ChatGPT. I asked: can you give me some fresh new ideas for quotes for t-shirts. I need these quotes to be scalable, meaning the quote is the same but I can change out the niche and the quote still makes sense.

It gave 10 ideas, including:

Life is better with [niche]

Keep calm and love [niche]

Eat sleep [niche] repeat

Obsessed with [niche]

[Niche] is my therapy

If you don’t like any of these, you can always say 10 more and you’ll get 10 new ideas. If you want to go deeper on one of these, copy one and put 10 more similar to [quote]. Then take one of these quotes, adjust the prompt, and play around with the colors to make different designs.

One quick side note: no matter where you get your quotes from, you always want to do your trademark checks just to make sure that’s not trademarked.

Scalable POD Ideogram Prompts: Editing the Base Prompt

I’m going to take one of the ideas and show how I change the quote, colors, and niche while keeping the same base style.

Replace the Quote

Let’s go with this one: my passion is [niche]. It can be birds, rabbits, barbecues, any niche that we want.

Change out the quote to: my passion is birds in bold uppercase letters.

Go through the prompt and change the parts that need updating. My passion is stays, and take out the with so it’s just birds. That’s how easy it is to change the quotes.

Adjust the Colors

Find the color line. The original uses blue, yellow, orange, and red.

Change this to blue, yellow, and pink, including shades of yellow and pink.

If the prompt references with in the quote, remove or update that so it matches the new quote structure.

Choose Magic Prompt on. Click generate. You’ll get a very similar style to the original because we’re using the same prompt as a base, but now with a different quote and different colors.

Remix Variations

Pick a result you like and remix it to get more variations of the same design.

Turn this up to 90.

Turn that off if you want less prompt influence.

Generate four variations of that design.

Change the Niche Elements

Now change the niche too. The quote says my passion is birds. Let’s go with cats.

Change birds to cats in the quote and anywhere it appears in the prompt.

Because the prompt mentions birds, update the visual elements to match cats. For example: features including shades, silhouettes of, or just a silhouette of a cat.

Remove any bird-specific details like branches if they don’t fit the new niche.

Generate again. You’ll have a different design using the same style as the original, but now with a different quote and a different niche. Pick the one you like and remix to get a few more variations.

The original was life is better with birds. Using the same prompt, I switched out the quote, switched out the colors, and switched out the niche. Now I have designs like my passion is cats and my passion is birds in the same retro sunset style.
